Role Summary
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and executing test suites to ensure the quality of BrowserStack's products. This role requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong coding fundamentals, and a commitment to delivering high-quality releases. You’ll get the opportunity to work across both manual and automated testing in a fast-paced agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, write, and maintain test cases for new and existing features.
Execute test scenarios manually and through automation frameworks.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, and QTest.
Collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to identify bugs and quality issues early in the development cycle.
Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and test coverage.
Adapt quickly to new technologies including Node.js and Ruby.
Preferred Skills & Requirements
Students graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, IT, or related).
Basic understanding of QA principles, software testing lifecycle, and development fundamentals.
Hands-on or internship experience (0–6 months) in automation testing is a plus.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn Node.js, Ruby, and modern test frameworks.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in dynamic environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
