About the Role:
Anthology is seeking a proactive Associate Software Engineer to join its development team in Chennai. In this role, you'll leverage your foundational experience in Java, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based software development to help build scalable, modern applications. You’ll be an active contributor to an agile team, engaging in daily scrums, collaborative coding sessions, and sprint reviews, while also using AI tools to boost efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Java-based applications and RESTful APIs.
Participate in all phases of the Agile development cycle, including stand-ups, planning, code reviews, and demos.
Write clean, testable code and implement unit and integration tests as part of a test-driven development approach.
Troubleshoot issues in live cloud environments and contribute to reducing downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and release new features.
Contribute to feature enhancements using AI technology for smarter and faster development.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
1–2 years of hands-on experience in software development with Java.
Familiarity with SQL databases and web application frameworks.
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Ability to analyze and apply data structures and algorithms.
Exposure to writing unit tests and integrating testing strategies.
Fast learner with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with AWS or other cloud hosting platforms.
Exposure to modern AI-driven development tools.
