Role Overview
As a Junior Associate – Network Operations Center (NOC) at Deloitte, you will be a critical part of the AI & Engineering team, ensuring uninterrupted availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise IT infrastructure and applications. This role focuses on real-time monitoring, proactive incident management, automation, and operational excellence in a 24/7 environment.
You will collaborate with internal resolver teams, external vendors, and global stakeholders to rapidly detect, escalate, and resolve incidents while continuously improving service quality through documentation, analytics, and automation.
What You Will Do
24/7 Monitoring & Operations
Perform continuous “Eyes-on-Glass” monitoring of applications and infrastructure using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, SolarWinds, Datadog, and Nagios
Identify anomalies, establish performance baselines, and trigger actionable alerts for business-critical systems
Incident Management & Escalation
Act as an Incident Coordinator during major incidents
Initiate and participate in incident bridge calls
Escalate issues to L1/L2/L3 teams following SOPs
Document incident progress and support Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Incident Triage & Resolution
Triage auto-generated tickets and route them appropriately
Ensure rapid acknowledgment, resolution tracking, and stakeholder communication
Knowledge Management
Create, update, and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and known error databases
Enable faster issue resolution and reduce dependency on SMEs
Automation & Shift-Left Initiatives
Identify recurring operational issues
Recommend automation opportunities for monitoring, detection, and remediation
Support first-line resolution through documentation and scripting exposure
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with DevOps, Operations, Product teams, and third-party vendors
Support escalation management, SOP creation, and incident resolution
Reporting & Metrics
Track and report operational KPIs such as MTTD, MTTR, ticket volumes, and major incidents avoided
Provide insights to drive continuous service improvement
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
6 to 18 months of experience in IT Operations, NOC/SOC, Application Support, or Incident Management
Prior experience in a 24/7 production environment
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.)
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA
Experience with alert configuration, dashboards, and real-time monitoring
Basic understanding of incident, problem, and change management
Incident & Process Management
Exposure to major incident coordination and stakeholder communication
Experience following or documenting SOPs and runbooks
Automation (Preferred)
Basic exposure to PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting
Interest in operational automation and process optimization
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
(Non-engineering graduates such as BSc IT / BCA are eligible)
ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)
Experience with on-premise data centers, cloud, or hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Familiarity with CMDB, SLAs, and service coverage models
Experience working with enterprise clients or managed services environments
Shift & Work Requirements
Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
On-site role; no hybrid or remote work
May require working from Offshore Delivery Centers (ODC) or client locations
