Role Overview

As a Data Engineer – Data Integration, you will turn raw data into meaningful insights by building, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-grade data pipelines. You will work on data ingestion, transformation, storage, and integration for both batch and real-time environments. Your work will directly support analytics, data science, and business intelligence initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineers, architects, and analytics teams to design scalable data solutions and manage high-quality datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Core Data Engineering Responsibilities

Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter or cloud ETL/ELT tools.

Handle data gathering, ingestion, and preparation for analytics, forecasting, and reporting use cases.

Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets and resolve integration challenges.

Build reusable data integration components and automation utilities.

Create statistical, predictive, or prescriptive models using big data and ML techniques (where required).

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

Work closely with business teams to understand requirements, identify data sources, and assess data quality.

Design target data structures, develop transformation rules, and perform unit testing.

Support UAT and help resolve data ingestion or pipeline issues for analytics teams.

Contribute to enterprise search implementations using tools like Elasticsearch or Splunk.

Agile Delivery

Operate in a collaborative Agile environment with data scientists, engineers, database administrators, and consultants.

Bring analytical rigor and problem-solving skills to improve decision-making systems.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (required)

Master’s Degree (preferred)

Technical Skills (Required)

Strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, ETL, and Business Intelligence.

Hands-on expertise with Informatica PowerCenter.

Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and exposure to big data ecosystems.

Solid experience with Unix shell scripting and Python.

Understanding of cloud ecosystems and data migration.

Preferred Skills

Experience working on MS Azure Cloud environments.

Additional expertise with Unix scripting and Informatica (reiterated in preferred criteria).
