Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team within the Risk Management and Compliance division. This role involves designing and developing analytical tools to enhance efficiency, automate tasks, and optimize resource management.
As part of the MRGR team, you will be working on building independent testing solutions and automated processes to support risk analysts. Your expertise in software development, data processing, and dashboard creation will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, risk assessment, and compliance adherence.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a strong foundation in Python programming and a passion for building scalable solutions that support financial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance automation tools for model governance and risk review processes.
Build interactive dashboards for data visualization and performance tracking.
Translate business requirements into efficient software applications.
Implement Python-based solutions using JPMorgan Chase’s proprietary Athena framework.
Optimize data management and control processes to improve accuracy.
Support model reviewers and governance teams with custom-built tools.
Ensure compliance with internal risk control measures.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of experience in full-stack application development.
Proficiency in Python and web frameworks such as Tornado.
Experience with TypeScript and React.js for front-end development.
Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling large datasets and data processing tools.
Strong UI/UX design skills to enhance user experience.
