Role Overview

Chevron is seeking enthusiastic and driven University Graduate Software Engineers to join its technology teams in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, build, deploy, and support modern software solutions that power enterprise systems and digital transformation initiatives across Chevron’s global operations.

You will work in agile teams, collaborate across geographies, and contribute to reusable, scalable, and high-quality software components that meet business and technology standards.


Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Engineering

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software solutions across their full lifecycle.

Write clean, modular, scalable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.

Deliver innovative digital solutions through hands-on coding and system design.

DevOps & CI/CD

Use CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications and continuously improve solutions.

Apply best practices for unit testing, automated testing, static/dynamic code analysis, profiling, and observability.

Integration & Data Engineering

Design and build data integration and data management tools and practices.

Integrate applications with enterprise platforms using APIs and tools such as Azure Data Factory.

Support and enhance vendor-provided software solutions.

Collaboration & Global Support

Work closely with product teams, architects, and global stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Understand technical and business requirements to support and maintain applications effectively.

Contribute within Agile delivery models such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related disciplines (or equivalent experience).

Eligibility

Currently enrolled senior or graduate student expected to graduate by June 2026, OR

Recent graduates with less than two years of professional experience.

Must submit a current unofficial transcript demonstrating good academic standing.

Must be legally authorized to work in India (Indian Citizen or OCI) without visa sponsorship.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies:
C#, C++, Java, Python, Angular, Node.js, SQL, Ansible, R

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes.

Familiarity with Gitflow and source control best practices.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or Ansible.

Experience working in Agile environments.

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, resolve conflicts, and work through technical challenges.

Work Schedule

Standard work week: Monday to Friday

Shift timings aligned with global business needs:

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or

1:30 PM – 10:30 PM
