As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, you will have the opportunity to design, build, test, and support world-class systems and cloud software solutions, contributing to the backbone of enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end product development lifecycle—design, coding, testing, validation, and support.

• Develop and enhance IBM Systems products, collaborating with global product management teams and customers.

• Analyze product requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality implementations.

• Contribute to test automation, debugging, performance tuning, and defect resolution.

• Work on virtualization, I/O, cloud enablement, and storage systems, ensuring seamless hybrid cloud integration.

• Collaborate with open-source communities, contributing to innovation in cloud-native and systems software.

• In AI-focused roles, work as a full-stack developer delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions on IBM Z platforms.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills – Systems & Cloud Software Track:

• Knowledge of Operating Systems, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Containers, REST APIs, Security, and Virtualization.

• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, GoLang, Ansible, and Shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with GitHub and open-source tools.

Technical Skills – AI Track:

• Knowledge of AI/ML/DL, Jupyter Notebooks, Data Science methodologies, and NLP.

• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, R, GoLang with Linux experience.

• Familiarity with ML/DL frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost.

• Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, CouchDB) and data processing workflows.

• Knowledge of deep learning compilers and CPU architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java, ReactJS, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, Microservices architecture.

• Exposure to storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, file systems like NTFS/ext4/ZFS).

• Knowledge of cloud storage platforms (AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCP Storage).

• Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).

• Experience with backup/recovery tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
