Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based backend development and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, hands-on experience with Django or Flask, REST API development, and cloud-native deployments. This role requires a strong engineering mindset focused on scalability, performance, and clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Application & Backend Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python web applications using Django and/or Flask

Ensure high availability, performance, and long-term maintainability of backend systems

API Development & Integration

Build secure and efficient RESTful APIs for internal services and third-party integrations

Follow API best practices including authentication, versioning, and error handling

Database Design & Optimization

Design database schemas and write optimized queries for PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

Maintain data consistency, integrity, and performance across systems

Automation, Testing & Quality

Develop unit and integration tests using frameworks such as pytest

Implement automation for application workflows and infrastructure-level validations

Work with networking and automation libraries like Paramiko and PyShark

Cloud & Deployment

Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS or GCP

Use Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) for containerization and orchestration

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and release processes

Troubleshooting & Optimization

Diagnose and resolve application, infrastructure, and production issues

Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and root cause analysis

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product teams

Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Python with deep understanding of OOP principles

Hands-on experience with Django and/or Flask frameworks

Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs

Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)

Ability to design scalable and high-performance backend systems

Cloud & DevOps

Experience with AWS or GCP environments

Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with CI/CD tools for automated deployments

Testing & Automation

Experience with unit and integration testing using pytest

Familiarity with automation and networking tools such as Paramiko, PyShark

Networking & Troubleshooting

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system and production issues

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to machine learning, data analytics, or advanced analytics platforms

Experience with system monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
