Role Overview

Genpact is looking for an experienced Lead Consultant – QA Manual Tester to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions in an AI-driven, fast-paced environment. This role demands strong hands-on expertise in manual testing across web, mobile, and API-based applications, along with a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive testing best practices, and contribute to continuous process improvement while supporting Genpact’s AI-first transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web, mobile, and service/API-based applications

Manage end-to-end testing activities using Jira for test case management and defect tracking

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and testing scope

Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and UAT testing to ensure alignment with business and user expectations

Identify, analyze, isolate, and document defects across different phases of the SDLC/STLC

Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics

Validate API functionality using tools such as Postman or equivalent

Suggest and implement improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies

Support release cycles by ensuring test coverage, stability, and quality benchmarks

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications

Strong experience in manual QA testing for web, mobile, and API-based applications

Hands-on experience with Jira for test and defect management

Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Expertise in functional, regression, and compatibility testing

Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC processes

Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and retrieval

Basic understanding of test automation concepts

Coding exposure in Java, JavaScript, or Python

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience with automation testing for web or mobile applications

Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools

Exposure to AI-driven or large-scale enterprise applications
