Job Overview

Tower Research Capital, a leading high-frequency proprietary trading firm established in 1998, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Post-Trade team. This team is responsible for building next-generation solutions for middle and back-office operations, including trade reconciliation, P&L tracking, regulatory compliance, and finance automation. The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the firm's efficiency through technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Post-Trade Platform tools for reference data management, trade capture, reconciliation, P&L tracking, and trade cost management.

Design and implement scalable and high-performance software solutions that support compliance, surveillance, and regulatory functions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop new features, and optimize system performance.

Innovate and enhance middle-office and back-office applications to improve treasury, finance, and accounting processes.

Work with large-scale financial data sets and implement efficient algorithms for analysis and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills:

Programming: Proficiency in Python and Java.

Operating Systems: Experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.

Databases: Strong understanding of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).

Financial Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of electronic trading, financial instruments, and market structure (Equities, Commodities, FX, Derivatives, Cryptocurrencies, etc.).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
