Job Overview

Medpace is looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join its Information Technology team in Navi Mumbai. This full-time, office-based opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with internship experience who are passionate about data engineering, business intelligence, and cloud-based data solutions. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals to build scalable data pipelines, develop reporting solutions, and support enterprise data initiatives while enhancing your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions using SQL-based technologies.

• Build and support ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, and SSIS.

• Design, create, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.

• Participate in software testing by creating and executing test plans and validating system functionality.

• Contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with team members to improve development processes and technical solutions.

• Provide technical assistance, application support, installation, and maintenance for end users.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Internship or academic project experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.

• Basic understanding of dimensional data modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema concepts.

• Knowledge of ETL processes and reporting methodologies.

• Familiarity with SQL Server, ANSI SQL, T-SQL, and database fundamentals.

• Understanding of REST APIs.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.

• Knowledge of Fivetran and dbt for data integration and transformation.

• Basic programming knowledge in Python.

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure services.

• Familiarity with C# development is an added advantage.

• Experience building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
