🔹 Role Overview

Capgemini is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join its Software Engineering team in Bangalore. The role is ideal for professionals who have experience in test automation, Python, Playwright, API testing, and system/integration testing and are interested in working with industrial communication technologies.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Python and Playwright.

• Develop and execute test cases for systems using Modbus RTU/TCP protocols.

• Validate communication between industrial devices, controllers, gateways, and cloud applications.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Create automation scripts for protocol testing, API testing, and web application validation.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

• Develop reusable test libraries, utilities, and automation components to improve testing efficiency.

• Participate in requirement and design reviews and provide recommendations to improve testability.

• Maintain test reports, dashboards, quality metrics, and other QA documentation.

• Collaborate with firmware, software, QA, and product engineering teams to ensure product quality.

🎯 Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 1+ year of relevant experience along with a strong understanding of programming concepts, software development principles, and testing methodologies.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple testing activities, analyzing problems, and delivering accurate and reliable results.

The role requires good collaboration skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
