About the Role
micro1 is on the lookout for a driven and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with a focus on data quality assurance. As part of our growing QA team in Hyderabad, you’ll be responsible for validating and automating tests for complex data processing systems. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about automation, data, and ensuring high standards of system performance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium.
Conduct in-depth data validation to maintain consistency and accuracy across platforms.
Work closely with development and data engineering teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.
Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks and test processes.
Use SQL to perform complex data queries and validations.
Manage data workflows using Apache Airflow.
Collaborate with teams to test Databricks-based pipelines and transformations.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
0–1 years of relevant experience in automation testing or data testing.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with Python and Selenium for automation.
Strong knowledge of SQL for data testing.
Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
Understanding of data warehouse and data lake systems.
Exposure to Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
Experience using Databricks for data transformation testing.
Basic understanding of data testing tools like dbt Test.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Certifications in software testing or data engineering are a plus.
Prior experience in mentoring or team leadership roles is advantageous.
