As a Trainee Associate – NOC Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise IT infrastructure and applications through continuous monitoring, incident management, automation, and collaboration.
This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build strong foundations in IT operations, monitoring, incident response, and automation within large-scale enterprise environments.
Your Contribution
You will support round-the-clock IT operations, proactively detect and respond to incidents, coordinate resolutions, and continuously improve service reliability. Your work will directly contribute to reducing downtime, improving service quality, and enhancing operational efficiency for Deloitte’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Application Monitoring
Perform real-time “Eyes-on-Glass” monitoring of business-critical systems using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, SolarWinds, Datadog, and Nagios
Identify anomalies, establish performance baselines, and generate actionable alerts
Incident Management & Response
Act as an Incident Coordinator during major incidents
Initiate and participate in bridge calls, escalate issues, track progress, and support post-incident reviews (PIRs)
Collaborate with L1/L2 resolver teams to restore services quickly
Incident Triage & Escalation
Analyze auto-generated alerts and tickets based on SOPs
Ensure timely acknowledgment, escalation, and resolution of incidents
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and incident communications
Knowledge & Process Management
Create, update, and maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and known error documentation
Enable faster resolution by strengthening first-line support capabilities
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring issues and recommend automation opportunities
Contribute to “Shift Left” initiatives by enabling self-healing and first-line remediation
Assist with basic scripting and automation efforts
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Coordinate with internal teams such as DevOps, Operations, Product, and external vendors
Support escalation workflows and service improvement initiatives
Reporting & Metrics
Track operational KPIs including MTTD, MTTR, ticket volumes, and incident trends
Prepare reports and insights to support service optimization and decision-making
Service Coverage
Provide 24×7×365 operational support, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Work in rotational shifts (no hybrid or remote work option)
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
0–6 months of experience in IT Operations, NOC/SOC, Application Support, or Incident Management
Exposure to 24/7 enterprise support environments is preferred
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Nagios, SolarWinds, Datadog
Familiarity with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or JIRA
Understanding of alert configuration, dashboard creation, and real-time monitoring
Incident Management
Experience participating in or coordinating major incidents
Understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change processes
Automation (Preferred)
Basic exposure to scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Interest in automating repetitive operational tasks
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders
Process-oriented mindset with attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
Exposure to cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of CMDB, SLAs, and enterprise service models
Experience working with managed services or large enterprise environments
