About the Role
Rakuten Symphony is looking for a talented and detail-driven QA Engineer to strengthen our software quality assurance initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring high-performance and defect-free software delivery across platforms. You'll be working closely with development teams to refine product quality, automate test coverage, and enhance the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test cases across mobile and web applications.
Identify, document, and track defects with precision and clarity.
Develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing processes and deliverables.
Maintain and optimize test automation pipelines within CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins).
Ensure continuous testing by integrating tools into the delivery pipeline.
Analyze specifications to recommend process and usability improvements.
Take part in peer reviews and evaluate code/test coverage from a quality standpoint.
Continuously research new trends in automation, mobile testing, and QA frameworks.
Technical Requirements
Proficient in test automation using Selenium and Appium.
Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven.
Practical knowledge of Kotlin for scripting or automation tasks is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like Kobiton, Sauce Labs, or similar.
Exposure to Docker environments and performance testing methodologies.
Understanding of SDLC and experience working in agile-based software teams.
Strong grasp of mobile platform variations (Android/iOS) for device-specific testing.
