Description:
If you are eager to work with cutting-edge technologies like Linux, Docker, and Cloud, and thrive in a dynamic environment with diverse technologies, tools, and platforms, this role is perfect for you. You will collaborate with the PRISM Release Engineering team to deliver the tools and services that drive Ciena R&D DevOps.

- You will have end-to-end responsibilities, from requirements to implementation and deployment.
- Utilize the latest industry technologies (Linux, Docker, Cloud) to develop and support in-house, open-source, and commercial software.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team of product designers.

Within 1 month, you will:
- Complete our onboarding program, noting areas for improvement.
- Meet your new teammates, learn about Ciena products, and understand the role of PRISM Release Engineering.
- Gain an understanding of our technology through job shadowing, joint work sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Have a buddy within the team to help you get acquainted with our architecture, tools, and projects.
- Contribute to defining a great developer experience at Ciena.
- Implement new features and bug fixes to enhance our tools and environments.

Within 3 months, you will:
- Engage with engineers using our tooling, gathering feedback and addressing their issues.
- Contribute to and support work on new or existing tools, sharing your achievements with the team.

Within 6 months, you will:
- Consistently deliver new tools and improvements to existing tools to our R&D teams.
- Gain a deep understanding of our tools and environments, providing input for future enhancements.
- Develop a holistic view of how our tools and environments integrate, enabling you to contribute to various codebases.

Within 12 months, you will:
- Plan, scope, and implement a new tool used daily by hundreds of engineers.
- Participate in our hiring process and help shape the team's growth.
- Mentor new team members and guide them through achieving the milestones you have reached.
