🔧 Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native server-side code for scalable, high-performance applications.
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless, user-friendly experiences.
Write clean, maintainable, and unit-testable code focused on quality, reliability, and performance.
Take ownership of key product components that have high visibility and user impact.
Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to simplify complex challenges.
Participate in regular code reviews and Agile development practices.
📅 What You’ll Accomplish
First 6 Months
Integrate into the Poshmark ecosystem and build strong connections with engineering, product, DevOps, and QA teams.
Learn the architecture and inner workings of Poshmark’s Cloud Platform and gain hands-on experience across the tech stack.
Start contributing to feature enhancements and bug fixes, directly impacting end users.
After 12+ Months
Suggest and implement architecture-level improvements for the server-side codebase.
Drive innovation by contributing to core infrastructure improvements and reusable components that speed up feature development.
Grow into a trusted contributor within the team, known for reliability, scalability, and clean code.
✅ Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
Practical exposure or familiarity with:
Programming Languages: Ruby, JRuby, Java
Frontend Basics: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
Databases/Tools: MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ
Platforms: Linux and Amazon AWS or other cloud services (preferred)
A strong sense of code quality, testability, and user-centric thinking.
