Role Overview
Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety (WESE) team is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support data-driven decision-making across safety programs. You will work within the Data & Strategic UX vertical, providing analytical insights, building dashboards, and enabling leaders to take actionable steps to improve employee safety and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver analytics solutions to address business and operational challenges
Extract, clean, and transform data using SQL, spreadsheets, and analytical tools
Apply descriptive analytics to assess impact, identify trends, and uncover key drivers
Generate insights that highlight performance gaps, anomalies, and growth opportunities
Clearly document analytical methodologies, metric definitions, assumptions, and data sources
Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to enhance dashboards, portals, and internal tools
Validate business logic and ensure accuracy of data-driven systems
Present insights through clear written reports and verbal discussions
Apply analytical best practices to improve efficiency and scalability of processes
Support onboarding and training of new team members
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Machine Learning, or a related field
Experience defining business requirements and translating data into actionable insights
Hands-on experience with SQL and/or
ETL processes
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Tableau or similar BI/visualization tools
Experience handling large-scale datasets
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments
Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a simple, impactful manner
