We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a fully remote contract opportunity. Candidates with strong database development, advanced PL/SQL programming, and SQL performance tuning skills are encouraged to apply.

📌 Position Details

• Role: Senior Database Developer – Oracle PL/SQL
• Location: 100% Remote
• Experience: 6+ Years
• Employment Type: Contract / Independent Contractor
• Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only
• Preferred Domain: Energy, particularly Bulk Power Energy Management

💻 Key Technical Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 19c or higher.
• Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL features, including Advanced Queues, custom types, triggers, complex functions, REF CURSORs, pipelined functions, and subquery factoring.
• Experience with Oracle built-in packages, especially DBMS_SCHEDULER.
• Excellent understanding of ANSI joins and Oracle join syntax.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC and non-RAC environments and their programming considerations.
• Strong skills in SQL performance tuning, query execution analysis, profiling, index optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Git and Team Foundation Server (TFS).

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with frontend developers, software engineers, and system architects to develop scalable database solutions.
• Convert business requirements and technical specifications into efficient, production-ready database applications.
• Develop clean, maintainable, secure, and high-performance PL/SQL code.
• Build database services, integrated features, and APIs using existing database schemas.
• Perform unit testing, prepare test procedures, and support continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
• Follow Agile, Lean, XP, and established software development lifecycle practices.
• Work independently with distributed global teams while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

⭐ Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in the energy sector, particularly Bulk Power Energy Management, will have an advantage. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
