As part of the Android Apps Safety Engineering (AASE) team, you will contribute to ensuring a safe and high-quality user experience by leveraging machine learning (ML) and human reviews to detect policy violations.
You will work on mission-critical projects within Google's Platforms and Ecosystems product area, designing and developing software solutions that power devices and services worldwide. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-performance software solutions across the full stack.
Participate in or lead design reviews to evaluate technologies and system architectures.
Review and optimize code to ensure best practices in efficiency, security, and testability.
Contribute to technical documentation and educational content to support team and user needs.
Identify, debug, and resolve system issues related to software, hardware, or network operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
1-2 years of experience in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and full-stack development.
Ability to write clean, scalable, and efficient code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
Technical Skills Required
Experience in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++.
Proficiency in front-end technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, and debugging techniques.
Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and cloud computing.
Familiarity with security, networking, and data storage principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
Experience in building accessible technologies and designing user-centric applications.
