Role Summary: 
The Trainee will report to the Manager of Demand Planning and work closely with the Merchandising Planning and Buying teams in North America, as well as other relevant teams as needed. 

Key Qualifications: 
- Graduate/Postgraduate with 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the retail industry and working knowledge of supply chain management. 
- Analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of forecasting techniques. 
- Ability to manage data and interpret it using statistical concepts. 
- Strong planning and operational skills. 
- Effective communication skills. 
- Proficiency in Excel and good knowledge of other MS Office tools. 
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive environment. 
- Highly motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work. 
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA Macros will be a plus. 

Role Description: 
- Core Execution: Creating accurate reports for the assigned business area. 
- Collaboration: Collaborating with Planners and Buyers to manage Replenishment inventory through accurate forecasting and rectifying all relevant components to achieve department in-stock goals. 
- Inventory Management: Understanding and applying concepts such as Stock-store Minimums/Presentation minimums, Maximums, Safety stock, Review Time, Lead time, Store to store transfers, etc. 
- Stock Balancing: Maintaining in-stock goals through effective product distribution. Analyzing sales history and trends to maximize sales potential by developing allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels. 
- Historical Analysis: Analyzing and summarizing the business performance of product categories, monitoring sales, inventory, margin, and other factors affecting In-stocks & profitability. 
- Operation: Taking end-to-end ownership of categories and business and operational metrics. 
- Strategy Execution: Executing strategies to drive supply chain initiatives to support alternative forms of fulfillment. 
- Communication: Ensuring timely and proactive communication with key stakeholders.
