About the Role
Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer (Node.js/Angular) to join the Cloud Platform Engineering team. This team plays a crucial role in building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and platform services that support mission-critical SaaS solutions for public safety and enterprise markets worldwide.
As part of this team, you will contribute to developing scalable, secure, and high-performance applications deployed on Microsoft Azure. Your work will directly impact automation, deployment processes, and infrastructure reliability, helping to shape the company's cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom software solutions to centralize common functionalities.
Develop low-latency, high-availability, and high-performance applications using Node.js and Angular.
Automate development and deployment processes to enhance developer productivity.
Work on CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps initiatives.
Develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs to integrate cloud services.
Optimize system performance by troubleshooting, debugging, and diagnosing software issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services (AWS/Azure) into applications.
Participate in on-call support as needed for services developed by the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Proficiency in Node.js and AngularJS for full-stack development.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and RESTful API development.
Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of network architecture and software development methodologies.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance issues.
A passion for learning and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tools.
