About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building scalable, high-quality products that power ServiceNow’s cloud platform. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners and engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deliver reliable software while embracing best-in-class engineering practices.

This role is ideal for early-career engineers passionate about Java, JavaScript, web technologies, and exploring how AI can enhance modern software systems.

What You’ll Do

Build clean, scalable, reusable code by following strong software engineering principles.

Enforce best practices including code reviews, unit testing, and test automation.

Work closely with product owners to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Own features throughout the lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing and delivery.

Design intuitive software that allows customers to extend and customize functionality.

Contribute to the development of new features while enhancing existing products.

Apply AI-powered tools and insights to improve workflows, automation, and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

0–2+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language.

Strong interest in JavaScript and web technologies, including reusable and component-based design.

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns.

Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.

Strong analytical thinking and software design skills.

Working knowledge of development tools such as IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control systems, and Unix-based tools.

Curiosity and openness to leveraging AI in software development, automation, and problem-solving.
