Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance web application features. You will work closely with engineers across multiple geographies, contributing to robust architecture decisions, improving code quality, and collaborating on solutions that bring Adobe’s next-generation experiences to life.

What You’ll Do

Design, prototype, build, and unit test scalable and maintainable features with top-quality code.

Work closely with engineering teammates to define the best approaches for solving technical challenges.

Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and incorporate reviewer suggestions effectively.

Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to plan, build, and optimize backend services.

Investigate and address issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability.

Contribute to a highly collaborative, cross-geographical team through clear communication and shared ownership.

Continuously improve engineering practices, tools, and development workflows.

Requirements

B.Tech/M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in software engineering.

1–2+ years of experience in building modern, production-grade web applications.

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, design patterns, system architecture, and application performance.

Proficiency in:

Node.js, GraphQL, Webpack, Nx, Flex

Hands-on experience with modern web technologies:

React.js, Redux, Webhooks, Webpack

Familiarity with browser debugging tools, performance profiling, and optimization techniques.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering environment.

A growth mindset with a passion for learning, experimenting, and taking ownership.

Nice to Have

Experience integrating AI/ML features into web applications.

Knowledge of prompt engineering, working with LLM APIs, RAG-based systems, or MCP integrations.

Understanding of scalable architectures in cloud-based environments.
