Job Description for Technical Associate

Genpact is inviting fresh graduates to apply for the role of Technical Associate as part of our Off Campus Drive 2024. We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals with a strong foundation in technology and a willingness to learn new skills. As a Technical Associate, you will play a key role in coding, testing, and delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor personnel to gather detailed information about existing software systems, focusing on:
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) involved
- Registration processes
- Authentication methods
- Core functionalities
- Authorization protocols
- Data encryption (in-transit and at-rest)
- Upstream and downstream dependencies
- Develop workflow diagrams to illustrate how information flows among various stakeholders within a software system.
- Use the iDesigner tool to create architecture diagrams based on questionnaires completed by the development team.
- Multitask and coordinate risk and control assessments, engaging with at least 15 unique stakeholders and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML protocols.
- Maintain and update Jira items within the Kanban dashboard.
- Proactively follow up with teams for status updates or escalate issues as needed.
- Create and present status reports on ongoing tasks to senior management.
- Coordinate ad hoc production releases of security controls outside standard working hours.
- Explain complex technology terms to business users in simple, clear language.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BE/BTech/MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong understanding of software architecture concepts, including 2-tier, 3-tier, and n-tier architecture
- Knowledge of authentication processes between different tiers
- Familiarity with hardware components in typical software systems
- Awareness of data retention and deletion concepts
- Experience with writing clean, test-first code in Java
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong requirement gathering skills to understand the functionalities of existing software systems
- In-depth knowledge of technology security controls (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, Single Sign-On, Data retention/deletion)
- Understanding of PII data and measures to protect it
- Excellent coordination and analytical skills
