Job Description:HPE is seeking fresh graduates to join as Site Reliability Engineers (SRE). This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of our software solutions. As an SRE, you will monitor system health, manage platform infrastructure, and work towards continuous improvement of our software capabilities. You will also provide operational support for large-scale distributed software applications.
Responsibilities:
- System Health Monitoring: Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
- Infrastructure Management: Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
- Performance Optimization: Measure and optimize system performance, pushing capabilities forward and innovating for continual improvement.
- Operational Support: Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.
- Metrics Analysis: Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
- Collaboration: Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- System Design Consulting: Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Automation: Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
- Service Level Objectives: Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline.
- Ability to program using one or more high-level languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript.
- Experience with technologies like NFS, Amazon S3, and dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn).
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous success in technical engineering roles.
- Coding experience beyond simple scripts.
- Additional skills in cloud architectures, cross-domain knowledge, design thinking, development fundamentals, DevOps, distributed computing, microservices fluency, full-stack development, release management, security-first mindset, and user experience (UX).
