Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Associate Software Engineer Java at Moodys, you will be responsible for:

- Participating in the design, development, testing, and operational support of Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP/REST, SQL, JSON, XML-based applications.
- Demonstrating a good understanding of Object-Oriented design and development principles.
- Contributing to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with expertise in Web Services (REST and SOAP).
- Utilizing Java-based frameworks such as JPA, Springboot, Spring, Hibernate, etc., and applying Microservices and design patterns.
- Engaging in Agile Scrum methodologies and showcasing familiarity with other Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approaches.
- Possessing strong SQL and database knowledge.
- Working with development tools like JBOSS Studio, Eclipse, or similar IDEs, as well as build/dependency management tools such as Maven and SCM tools like Subversion, Bit Bucket, GitHub, etc.
- Experience in application containerization and proficiency with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Platform9, ECS, EKS, Openshift, Cloud Foundry.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure and services such as API Gateway, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, Kafka, etc.
- Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Eligibility:

To qualify for the Associate Software Engineer Java position at Moodys, you must meet the following criteria:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
- 0-3 years of total software development experience.
