Job Description

Splunk is seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a full-stack team responsible for creating an exceptional user experience for its leading Observability platform. As a key contributor, you will work on both the frontend and backend of Splunk's IT Service Intelligence product. You will develop scalable, high-performance solutions while ensuring quality and reliability through rigorous manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and own moderately complex features for Splunk’s Observability platform.

Design subsystems with a focus on scalability, performance, and high availability.

Work alongside senior engineers to enhance system architecture and development best practices.

Contribute to bug fixes, feature enhancements, and continuous improvements.

Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

Write and maintain automated test scripts for regression and feature validation.

Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Engage in design discussions to improve testability and overall system robustness.

Gain proficiency in Splunk’s core technologies and software testing methodologies.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

1+ years of experience for candidates with a Master’s degree, or 2+ years for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.

Strong programming skills in Java, C++, or Python.

Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing methodologies.

Proficiency in test automation frameworks like Selenium, WebdriverIO, or similar tools.

Solid understanding of web technologies, responsive design, and browser compatibility.

Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Agile development processes and test-driven development (TDD).

Preferred Skills
Experience mentoring junior developers or interns.

Knowledge of Continuous Delivery (CD) development models.

Understanding of scalable architecture, high availability, and performance optimization.
